John C. Kyle
Assistant Vice President Drilling & Workovers
Mr. Kyle has over 16 years experience with workover and mechanical integrity testing (MIT) of salt storage wells. Mr. Kyle is responsible for supervising and coordinating well maintenance, workover, drilling, logging, cavern testing, and subsidence monitoring activities. Activities include developing and writing procedures for workovers and MITs; ordering and coordinating supplies and services; preparing and hooking up test equipment to wells for testing; documenting and preparing test data for submission to the regulators; documenting and maintaining records of all work performed; coordinating and scheduling MITs and workovers; troubleshooting and remedying operational problems associated with wells; coordinating and scheduling special logging activities that may arise such as product interfaces, sonars, pipe checks, down-hole sampling and casing inspections. He is also responsible for developing and submitting annual budgets for all workover and testing activities ($3.2 MM for Q1 2005). He tracks and manages these costs to ensure efficient operations. He also takes part in writing permits for safe work, vehicle entry, rig work, hot work, radiography and monitoring safety in the field.
